While specializing in working with Iowa small businesses has always been and will remain a strong focus for the IWRC, we have also expanded our expertise levels to include working on a national level in the painting and coatings industry.

The OSR program is aimed at Iowa small businesses with 200 or less employees. A free and confidential review can be conducted to highlight relevant regulations and identify pollution prevention opportunities for your business.

IAEAP assists Iowa small businesses with 100 or less employees. Similar to OSR, IAEAP also provides a free service focused on air emission regulations such as training on completing minor source emissions inventories, assisting with air permits, and education on new air quality regulations.

IWE is a cooperative effort of many agencies and organizations to provide Iowa business and industry with ways to redirect waste from disposal facilities and provide a means to recycle and reuse the material. The program helps businesses, schools, hospitals and communities save disposal money and protect the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling materials.

STAR4D is a training and certification program for coatings application technicians. Certification include focuses on aerospace and CARC provided by STAR4D's expert instructors. STAR4D training has proven to decrease corrosion and rework, reduce environmental wastes, as well as continuously improve overall finish quality.

The IWRC has programs that have provided extensive research and assistance in fields ranging from painter training to soy metalworking fluid. These programs include Spray Technique Analysis and Research, Small Business Pollution Prevention Center, New Environmental Technologies for Small Business, and the Small Business Compliance Alliance.
